photoblogging

Since a few weeks now, I've been thinking of starting a photoblog of some sort. I love the idea of Ten years of my life and Heather champ. A photo a day.

Only problem is that I really wasn't in the mood for setting up a new blog, and overall I wasn't really sure what I wanted. Do I wanted a seperate domain for this? Do I have the money and webspace to mantain this. I don't know.

Yesterday a friend of mine - Pieter Baert - registered at PhotoBlog.be. I took a look at the site and it seems to be a great alternative for what I want to do. I registerd a couple of hours ago.

The service isn't perfect yet, but it's pretty new, and it's more than I need. The biggest drawback is the limitation of template design and well a 10mb webspace. But it's free! And it's a sort of community, wich feels good. I have seen some other works and wow, some are really great.

No, this doesn't meen I won't be posting anymore photograph's here, let's say I extended my activities. I'm going to try and post a picture a day. Concidering the 10mb limitation some pics will start disappearing after a few months, so I'm not sur yet how I'm going to solve this problem, maybe I'll have a personal photoblog by then were I'll archive my pictures.

Another thing I'm not sure about yet is how I'm going to integrate the photoblog with this site. I'd like to integrated it in the sidebar, but I'll have to do some scripting for that. To bad there's no RSS feed.

I can certanly recommend the site for anyone wanting to start their own photoblog. Enjoy the pics!
