I finally did it. I managed to come up with a design I like. I have this strange thing that I can only concentrate on one thing at a time. When I'm having no trouble to progam new things, designing comes very hard and vice versa. This month I'm more or les in design mode and thus managed to create something colorful for this site.

The colorscheme is mainly the same as it was up till now, blue and orange. To that I added green. The different colors are now dominant over white.
I'm still a great fan of white though, but it was starting to bore a bit.
Positioning
The biggest problem with the previous (unstyled) style was the positioning of the different elements. The main goal then was to bring the photography to the front and the blog a bit more to the back. The past few weeks I started having the feeling that the blog was really set back, barely noticable.
All elements are still there on the frontpage, only the photography is a bit reduced in space. You can now find a snapshot of the most recent photo on in the top right corner, next to the header. Title is shown underneath. Clicking the photo will take you to the photography section.
The other elements are still positioned in the same way. But with the photography reduced in size, it is all brought a bit more to the top, thus more noticable.
Work in progress
As every design on the web, it is still a work in progress. You'll probably notice that a few pages are still to be converted. Other pages will still have some unformatted text, etc.
I'm still thinking about the design for the photography section. Most likely I will try and create a minimalistic version of this 'blog' layout to fit the photographs, but for now that section remains in the previous (unstyled) style.
