well, it's still a great picture. and sometimes not having the other person there and instead focusing on this subject may be more effective. i can't say but i think i like it just like this. there's still the context of the grandmother's hand. great photos here.

~Emily, you are correct, it is a fine shot, just having the grandmother's hand there leaves a lot for the imagination to dream up, the child and the expression are great focal points, all else is for the viewer to imagine and conjur up...~
